Disodium Succinate occurs in the form of crystalline granular or powder; it ranges from colorless to white. It is odorless, and is of fresh taste. Its taste threshold is 0.03%. It is stable in the air, and is highly soluble in water. It exists in two forms, that is, hexahydrous disodium succinate, and anhydrous disodium succinate. The former is in the form of crystalline particles, and the latter is in the form of crystalline powder. It varies from colorless to white. It is odorless, and is of fresh taste. Its taste threshold is 0.03%. It is stable in the air, and is highly soluble in water.
The product is irritating to the eyes and respiratory system. Wear suitable protective equipment when using and carrying. In case of contact with eyes, immediately consult a doctor for treatment after flushing with plenty of water.
White particles or crystalline powder. Soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol.
The main purpose
In the food industry, it is used as an umami agent, a feed additive, a reagent for laboratory analysis, and an intermediate for the pharmaceutical industry.
It is also used in flavoring agent, sour agent, buffering agent, mainly used for preparation of ham, sausages, aquatic products, seasoning liquids, etc.
